Assignments and Projects
Worksheets are due by the end of the week. Projects will have a due date assigned to them.
Worksheets
Worksheets are done during the week in lieu of homework assignments. They will be based on readings in class, topics under discussion and your independent reading. You can click here for worksheets available on-line once they are posted.
Book Projects
SEMESTER ONE
There are two book projects due during the semester. Your independent reading book will be the basis for these projects. Options are listed.

Two book projects are due during the semester based on your independent reading book from class. Options are listed.
Exams
MIDTERM
The mid-term will be based upon the strategies we have learned so far in class. All necessary materials will be given to you. There is no need to study or memorize anything, you simply need to show you know how to use the strategies on the text provided.
FINAL EXAM
The final will be based upon the strategies we have learned from the beginning of the year. All necessary materials will be given to you. There is no need to study or memorize anything, you simply need to show you know how to use the strategies on the text provided.
Grading Policy
Formative Assessments (ex. worksheets) are worth 60% of the term grade.
Summative Assessments (ex. book projects) are worth 40% of the term grade.
Term grades are 80% and Exams are 20% of the final grade for the semester.
Students are expected to participate in class and complete all assignments as part of their grade.
Late assignments will be discussed on a case by case basis with students and/or case managers.
